Kersia’s Commitment to Sustainability
At Kersia, we are committed to sustainable practices that reduce our environmental impact while continuing to provide industry-leading solutions. As part of this commitment, our senior leadership team recently attended a Carbon Management training course at The University of Hull—an initiative designed to equip businesses and individuals with the knowledge and tools to measure, manage, and reduce scope 1,2 and 3 carbon emissions.
Understanding Our Carbon Footprint
The 1-day workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of carbon footprints, the challenges posed by climate change, and the opportunities for businesses to adapt and take positive action. The course covered:
✅ Identifying sources of carbon emissions within a business
✅ Practical strategies to reduce environmental impact
✅ Tools and frameworks to implement carbon reduction initiatives
✅ Adapting to climate change and its effects on business operations
✅ A collaborative approach to sustainable practices through Scope 1, 2 and 3
This training aligns with Kersia’s long-term sustainability goals and strengthens our ability to embed carbon-conscious decision-making into our operations.
Scaling Up: Empowering Our Teams
This initiative is not limited to senior leadership. Once key stakeholders and managers have completed the training, we will roll it out across our Kersia UK teams—ensuring that our colleagues understand their role in reducing emissions and driving sustainability forward.
By equipping our workforce with the right skills and knowledge, we can collectively make a real impact. Sustainability is a shared responsibility and, by taking these steps, we are strengthening our commitment to a cleaner, greener future.
What’s Next?
We believe that sustainability is a journey, and education is a key part of that. As we continue to upskill our teams, we look forward to continuing to integrate these learnings into real-world action—ensuring that Kersia remains at the forefront of environmental responsibility and sustainable innovation.
