A Career Driven by Passion
For Elle Seville, a career in agriculture was a great choice. Despite not coming from a farming background, she developed a deep passion for British agriculture from a young age, leading her to develop a career in farm hygiene and animal health.
"I have always had a keen interest in agriculture and best practice, and I think it is impossible to carry out best practice on farm without being meticulous about hygiene," Elle explains.
Focus on Animal Health
Elle’s expertise extends beyond hygiene; she has a strong interest in animal health, particularly parasite management. "One of my proudest achievements in my career pre-Kersia was setting up a previous employer with a faecal egg counting service and leading them to being one of the top users of the specific system in the UK," she recalls.
Life Beyond Work
Despite her busy professional life, Elle’s love for agriculture extends to her home life, where she is working towards having her own milking cows. "Now I farm at home and hope to have my own milking cows in the future," she shares.
When she’s not immersed in the world of agriculture, Elle can be found lifting weights in the gym or riding her horses. "I am an avid gym-goer and spend most waking hours that I am not at work in the gym lifting weights—or at home riding my horses," she says.
Learning and Growth at Kersia
One of the aspects Elle enjoys most about working for Kersia is the opportunity to connect with people from across the agricultural sector. "My favourite thing about working for Kersia is the opportunities that my role provides to speak to a vast mix of people involved in agriculture from all over the world and learn how we can all make small changes towards a better future for the industry."
A Superpower for the Job
If she could have one superpower to help in her role? "Teleportation! So that I could get to help more farmers on a daily basis without having to spend so much time travelling in between!" she laughs.
Elle’s dedication, expertise, and enthusiasm make her a valued member of Kersia and the wider agricultural community.
