Holchem Celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

It’s National Apprenticeship Week and we’re proud of the apprenticeship we have embarked on with Technical Service Manager Nicola Bellamy.  We work with everyone at Holchem to nurture their talent and ensure they have the best training programme suited to them.

Nicola has been part of the team here at Holchem since 1999 and worked her way to becoming Technical Service Manager in 2013 and she is also Holchem Training Manager.  To further her development, we worked with Nicola to place her on a Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship with Hull University and she started the course in November 2018.  The MBA course is designed so that participants become strategic and responsible leaders through the business relevant internationally recognised programme.

There are hundreds of different types of apprenticeships available and they create life changing opportunities for people.  We are delighted that Nicola is part of the Apprenticeship programme here in the UK and that the knowledge she gained through it will hugely benefit her personal development and us as a business.

Commenting on the apprenticeship Nicola said:

“I’ve learnt so much on my course and it’s helping me grow and develop as a person and I also bring the huge amount of knowledge I’ve gained to my role here at Holchem.  Apprentices are a fabulous platform for thousands of people to start a career or for those already employed to gain additional qualifications and skills.  I’ve also been a member of the apprenticeship trailblazer group involved in developing course content for the new Level 4 Hygiene Specialist Standard in conjunction with National Skills Academy (Food & Drink) which is hugely beneficial for our industry and people that work in it.”

John Holah from Holchem said

“Helping Nicola get on board with the Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship has brought huge benefits to Holchem.  We’re proud to be able to support her and to be part of an invaluable resource that’s available to businesses throughout the country.”
