Kersia Committed & Different Programme 2024 – Sara Blanco-Rodriguez

Sara Blanco-Rodriguez, Technical Manager at Kersia UK, was assigned to be a leader for this year's Committed and Different in-residence training and seminar programme.  Sara has previously been through the C&D training programme and is a changemaker ambassador from cohort 2 in 2021.

Here Sara explains her role and what it means to her:

“This year I joined the Committed & Different (C&D) in-residence week as a leader, helping and supporting with the planning and development for the ambassadors of Cohort 4.

“Although it was from a different perspective to an ambassador, I still got a lot of things from the week.  First of all, the joy and pride I felt to see how the community keeps growing and how the programme is rooted deeper at all levels across the company.”

“Also having the chance to meet the new ambassadors has been wonderful and it’s been great to gain energy and momentum as part of an initiative that is part of the future of the company.”

“Having completed the programme almost three years ago, I can reflect on all the learnings that the C&D community gains. The projects that have been already launched and are a reality, the ideas shared, and the human connections formed are creating a positive impact on a social and environmental level.”

“One of the key things to highlight as a result of the C&D in-residence week, is the creation of a safe and supportive network for all ambassadors, no matter where they are based. Without a doubt having the chance to interchange ideas, feelings and projects with people with a different cultural background is one of the crucial factors to the success of the programme and of the global Kersia strategy. Personally, I will keep sharing my passion about it with as many people as I can, as I am a huge believer this is the key to success.”
