Kersia UK Customer Partnerships

The Kersia UK team work closely with our customers to advise on all aspects of hygiene. Tamara Blackler and Andrew Blackler recently visited our customer Rachel’s Organic to advise on good hand hygiene as part of the recent Food Safety Day activity taking place on site.

Stringent hand hygiene processes are vital to the successful running of any food and drink processing site and Tamara and Andrew were asked by the site’s Technical Manager Jo Tett to refresh the team’s knowledge on the importance of good hand hygiene and demonstrate how to wash hands effectively.

Tamara ran the day which comprised five different sessions for 50 employees. The training content included a variety of activities including watching and discussing the Kersia UK hand hygiene handwashing video and using a UV indicator lotion and UV light box to identify frequently missed areas following hand cleaning.

The successful day enabled the Rachel’s Dairy team to learn more about the importance of hand hygiene and how to wash their hands correctly before entering a food production area on a food processing site.

Commentating on the day, Tamara said:

“The training sessions were a great success. Watching the video alongside using the UV box reinforced the important hand hygiene messages. A big thanks to the team from Rachel’s Dairy who were the perfect students and enjoyed the sessions.”
