From Production to Hygiene Expertise
Steve’s career began in production at Samworth Brothers, where he worked as a production team leader. However, his curiosity and fascination with the Hygiene Team cleaning the factory set him on a different path. “Watching their meticulous work inspired me to embark on a career in food hygiene,” Steve recalls. And we’re so glad he did!
Making an Impact at Kersia
One of Steve’s standout accomplishments at Kersia is his Mentorship Program. This initiative is particularly close to his heart, as it stems from his role as a Kersia Changemaker and a Committed & Different ambassador. These programs have empowered Steve to think creatively, act empathetically, and lead initiatives that truly make a difference. Sharing his knowledge and helping others grow through mentorship has been one of his proudest achievements. “It’s rewarding to see colleagues grow and succeed,” he says.
A Fun Fact That’s Hard to Top
Here’s a ‘fun fact’ about Steve you probably wouldn’t guess: When he was 11 years old, he kissed a film star! While the name remains a mystery, we’re sure it’s a story for the ages.
Life Beyond the Office
When Steve isn’t busy ensuring hygiene management systems are in place, he’s likely indulging in his favourite pastime—watching football. It’s his go-to activity to unwind and recharge.

For Steve, it’s the teamwork and autonomy that make Kersia a special place to work. “I enjoy the collaboration and the freedom to make decisions that matter,” he shares.
A Superpower to Solve it All
If Steve could choose a superpower to enhance his work, he’d opt for teleportation. “I’d zoom off to sort customers’ problems and zoom right back,” he adds!
