Moyra Williams has been a Technical Sales Consultant in the Brewing and Beverage team here at Kersia UK for seven years. Learn more about her career, her work here at Kersia and her love of dogs.
“I have a degree in Brewing & Microbiology from Heriot-Watt University and worked in breweries in the UK before moving to Australia and working for a winery there for 10 years. I then came back to the UK and started work at Kersia over seven years ago.
“In my role I look after around 50 accounts made up mainly of breweries and distilleries, wineries and other beverage companies. My aim is to ensure that each customer is achieving excellent cleaning and disinfection regimes by using the most appropriate and relevant products and to optimise Cleaning In Place (CIP) to minimise waste including energy, water and chemicals.
“I enjoy seeing all my customers and get job satisfaction from making a difference and making improvements to customer’s processes. My real favourite part is giving treats and cuddles to the many dogs I meet at customer sites!
“I spend a lot of time in the car and typically drive around 600-700 miles per week so am often on the road by 6.30am to try to avoid the worst of the traffic especially if heading towards London and the M25. After arriving at a customer site, I will check in with them to find out what the priorities are for that visit and more than likely I would then investigate any issues they are having and may conduct a CIP audit, carry out any other tasks and then wrap up the session with the customer.
“My dream job would be work involving dogs. I just love them.”
