Hygiena InSite™ Listeria Swabs (Pack of 100)

The NEW AND IMPROVED Hygiena InSite™ Rapid Environmental Listeria Test is a simple, easy to use, test for Listeria species.

It is a self-contained test device with a selective growth medium (containing antibiotics, growth enhancers and colour changing compounds specific to Listeria species) which has been recently improved to increase selectivity and detects low numbers of Listeria on stainless steel, ceramic and plastic surfaces. The color-changing medium gives presumptive positive results in as little as 24 hours but requires 48 hours incubation for negative results. 

Simply swab the test area and incubate. A change in colour after 24-48 hours of incubation is considered presumptive positive for Listeria species.

A mini incubator and the 12 well block is required (TEST0107 & TEST0107/01 - sold separately) or for larger swab volumes a Lab Format Incubator and two 35 well blocks (TEST0125 & TEST0125/02 - sold separately) can be used to allow up to 70 swabs to be incubated.

No additional sample handling of the sample is necessary.
